Greypointe Kennel breeds primarily for our own field trial and hunting program and rarely is an entire litter for sale. As much as we would like to keep all our puppies, large litters necessitate finding hunting and field trial homes for some really fine prospects. The key to producing dogs with potential is the selection of the parents – particularly high quality proven females. Greypointe Kennel does not keep so called “brood bitches” as every dog here is as a competitive trial dog and/or hunted extensively. If they are here, it is because they are a quality bird dog that meets our standards.

Puppies from Champion Sired Dam and Sire

Five male pups whelped April 14th available out of Stockbroker ex Greypointe Jazmin. These pups will make classy bird finders that should have ideal shooting dog range for wild bird hunting or field trialing. Both sire and dam spent the entire 2013-14 season on the McAllen Ranch in South Texas hunting wild bobwhites. Sire placed in the Midwest Shooting Dog Futurity as a young dog and was sired by CH Future Stock winner of the Quail Championship Invitational one of the toughest tests for the top all age dogs each year. Jazzy is by 2X CH, 2X RU CH Greypointe Gladiador out of a female by CH Millers Happy Jack. Jazzy is fast and classy running and on point and was a young star in south Texas this past winter. Pups are $500 here at the kennel. Up to date on shots, worming and have been well socialized and walked in the field already. Call Doug at 913-five one five-2536.

Finished and Started Dogs

Occasionally we will have started and finished dogs for sale. These dogs will be healthy and are as represented. We will demonstrate their performance in the field for prospective owners. Their level of experience is usually unmatched as we travel north in the early fall to expose the dogs to sharptail grouse and young pheasants and south to Texas in the coldest part of winter for quail. Kansas is one of the top bird hunting states in the nation with the world’s largest prairie chicken population and a top tier state for both pheasant and quail. Wild birds plus our exceptional early training on our own grounds help develop and polish good prospects. We currently have prospects for sale.

Greypointe Hasta Lavista  - Broke Shooting Dog

Greypointe Hasta Lavista (“Dozer”) is a classy running shooting dog BROKE on prairie chickens, pheasants and quail. Dozer has won field trials in Missouri, Iowa and Kansas and has been turned loose in trials at Mortlach, SK. He is a strong bird finder that runs the front yet handles like you have him on a string. I am selling Dozer to a GOOD home that will either compete him or hunt him frequently on wild birds. You will love him!  Whelped 7/09/2008. His sire, CH Greypointe Espada won the AFTCA National Walking Shooting Dog Championship and his dam was a trial winner and a direct daughter of CH Erin’s Southern Pride. Dozer is heart worm free and healthy.

Greypointe Jazmin

I am selling Jazzy to someone who will take her to field trials or use her as a class bird dog on wild quail or western birds. She is super fast, classy running and will absolutely go with you. STRONG bird finder who currently stands steady to flush. I am finishing her steady to wing and shot if she stays here any amount of time. Jazzy is a direct daughter of CH Greypointe Gladiador and a daughter of CH Miller’s Happy Jack. She has raised the one litter of eight super healthy pups and was an outstanding mother. Take a look at her for your program. Jazzy spent the entire five month long bird season in South Texas on a guide string and was also taken to North Dakota twice for summer training on sharp tails. Whelped 1/05/2012 $2500

"Spark" is a 15 month old white and liver pointer female who was taken north to the Dakotas this past summer and just returned from a winter hunting wild bobwhites in South Texas. She was used primarily as a guide dog in Texas for a pro trainer on a 110,000 acre ranch. They routinely moved 12-20 coveys of wild birds in a long morning hunt. Spark saw sharp tails in every workout in North Dakota last summer.

Spark is staunch on her birds; collar conditioned but not fully broke. She was leashed when the hunters went in to flush to prevent chasing. She was allowed to retrieve some and was bringing birds to hand. I believe Spark is a walking shooting dog prospect based on her time in Texas on wild birds. She would also make a class shooting dog for a discriminating hunter - minds well and goes with you in the front. Spark was sired by All Age  CH S F Cufflink out of Greypointe Gloriosa, a prairie type shooting dog with a half dozen trial wins. Glory is a phenomenal wild bird dog and producer of Open All Age winner Greypointe Izquierda who recently won his first leg to Grand Junction for the National Bird Dog Championship. She also produced All Age and Derby winner Greypointe Islamorada and S F Strongwind who won the John S Gates Derby Classic in Manitoba last year. Three litter mates to Spark have won in Derby stakes this season as puppies - two in all age standard stakes and one in a shooting Derby.

Please consider looking at Spark for your program as you cannot easily duplicate the amount of work on wild birds this young lady has experienced. Check her pedigree as well if you are considering a worthy female for breeding purposes. Cufflink is by  CH Lester's Thunderbird x S F Sendout - a littermate sister to National CH Miller's On Line. Greypointe Gloriosa's sire is the producer Turbo ( CH Fiddlin Rocky Boy x Mitchell's Turbo Sally) x Greypointe Flamenco who is of Therapy, Guard Rail and Miller's Silver Bullet lineage. I am field trialing all age dogs making Spark available. Priced at $1500.
